Email Encryption
When sending an email that has sensitive data you need to encrypt it.
Follow these steps to do so:
Prepend your subject with, exactly, [Encrypted Message] -
(note the spaces around the hyphen)
EXAMPLE: Subject: [Encrypted Message] - Notes for you to look over.
This will auto encrypt the message and provide non outlook users a method (yahoo and gmail have their own decryption routines and all users can use a one time passcode) to decrypt and read their email.
Always use encryption anytime anything sensitive is sent to anyone. This includes, but is not limited to, passwords, PII, FERPA, HIPAA, and OPSEC related information (anything that might be useful to an unauthorized third party).
