ATC password management

Athens Technical College uses a Single-Sign-On to get employees and students into online resources including the Microsoft Office Suite, emails, educational software such as Collaborate, OneDrive online storage, etc. Managing this account is very important, because everything is tied to it. Please follow the guidelines carefully to avoid being locked out or having your account hijacked.

1. Passwords must be at least 10 characters long.

2. Passwords must be complex, and have at least three: UPPER CASE, lower case, numbers (123) and symbols (^%#*-+ etc.)

3. Passwords expire every 42 days (every six weeks).You can reset them more often, of course.

Reset your password on any campus PC by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and then selecting "Change a password."

You can reset your password on any machine in the USA by going to https://office.com and logging in. On the upper right corner of the browser window, you'll see your initials. Select that to get the option to change your password.

You can also change your password by logging into https://athenstech.okta.com. At Okta.com, you can also reset your password if you don't remember it, by supplying the answers to the questions you set up when you created the account.
